A boy and his mother walk into a store. The boy sees a toy that he wants, however he makes no motions to let his mother know that he wants it. Instead, he thinks of what it would be like to play with that toy. While he sits and thinks, another boy comes and takes away the toy. Now this boy seems to act like he deserves the toy, so his mother buys it for him. However, once he gets it home, he plays rough with it and gets it sticky with candy. However, the toy still belongs to him. All the while, the first boy sits and contemplates whether or not the toy would be right for him, even though it was already gone. The mother of the boy who did have the toy told him to stop playing rough with the toy, and he did. However, the toy was already scratched and dirty. The toy remained in his care, nonetheless. The first boy still sat and wondered if the toy was one he should own, or just something to borrow from time to time. He did not realize that this was a moot point to argue with himself, for he could never afford the toy anyway, and his mother the whole while was silent, at least in his presence. The story has not come to an end, you see, for the first boy sits thinking at this very moment, the second boy sits happily, knowing his toy is his, and the toy remains as it is, and as it became.
